Hey,

Just a question regarding the traction control system on the 1199, with street riding i normally run it in sports one of the default setting. As i am starting to get more confident and improve my riding, i have been noticing that the traction control is coming on mid turn while i'm trying to apply throttle to move out on the corner.

My question is does the DTC have a lean angle sensors or is it just that i have the setting up to high and need to start adjusting them?

there is no lean angle sensor on the pani as far as i know. only BMW s1000rr has that. Pani just notices traction loss (specifically mated to supercorsa tires, so if you change tires, it may react differently)

thanks! I think i may just have it set too high and need to start playing around with it

No lean angle sensor. But before you turn down DTC make sure you understand completely why it's kicking in. If your applying throttle mid-turn abruptly enough that its breaking the tire loose, the current setting of DTC may actually be saving you. Just a suggestion.

thanks, i don't think i am apply the throttle too hard ... i am just rolling it on as smooth as i can, it actually doesn't feel like it cuts the power at all  hence why i am little confused why its kicking in.

It just a flash of the centre light yellow for a split second

It does not have a specific lean angle "sensor", lean angle is a calculated value based upon the speed of the front/rear tires as well as the accelerometer values from the tail sensor unit. As you lean over, the speed that the wheels are spinning will increase due to the smaller circumference of the tire contact area, which is what the algorithm takes into account. This is the same way the high-end systems like the Nemesis TCS work.
