Anyone have a copy of this bulletin to share with us? I would like to know what is causing the "blinker/switch" issue. Thanks.....

Thanks kensteele!!!!!!! You are awesome... With the info you provided I figured my bike missed the upgrade by 1,617 bikes.. Oh well, I'll have to keep an eye out for blinker failure..

Thanks again.

Went to the service manager and told him about TSB 881. He got online with the Ducati updates for 1199 and could not find it anywhere.

I told him to come to this forum and look it up. He printed it out and just shook his head and went to the parts manager to order on for my bike.

The service manager also emailed corporate to see what was going on.

I'm assuming the underlying problem was fixed in one of the dash revisions which is why later bikes don't need the extra TSB 881 cable and module. If you've already had the dash replaced for switch gear or fogging I'm guessing that you might not need TSB 881. Anyone know which dash revision, E or F, fixes it without TSB 881? My guess would be revision E.

Interestingly my dealer says they can now program the correct mileage onto replaced displays. My bike is going in for it's first service later this week and they say they'll correct the mileage. I'm skeptical, but I'll update after Friday.

Your are right to be sceptical as is cannot be done, unless you have a 2013 Multistrada which is the only model you can do this on

They previously told me the same in that it couldn't be done, but yesterday they said Ducati recently told them that it's now possible. I don't see why it would be so difficult, its just a number stored in the non-volatile RAM of the ECU. How difficult can it be? Let's see.

Good luck but I think you will be back on saying it couldn't be done
Let us know

I just had this TSB 881 completed yesterday at the closest dealer. They wired it wrong at first and while it worked when I left the shop the entire left control set didn't work at all by the time I got home. So I had to go back today, and the tech figured out what he did wrong. It works perfectly now.

On the way back today I regularly got to temps of 217+ and the right turn signal and up button didn't fail, which it was doing 30% of the time. I'll keep tabs and post here if it happens again. At first when I called the service manager this AM about the problem, he told me that he was going to file a claim on it and order a new dash, which immediately worried me as some on here are on their 3rd or higher dash to fix the same problem. Now I'm hoping it's all good.

Here she is back from the dealer with my S wheels installed, Termi slips and S-Wheels mounted. Just ordered a Bitubo XXF61 Race Shock and gas-pressurized steering damper. Should be here in about a month.

Update - I just had this TSB 881 performed last Friday. I rode the bike about 200 miles on 3 different occasions over the weekend and there have been no malfunctions of the right blinker switch nor the up button since.

The dealer actually installed it incorrectly the first time, with no functionality at all from the left cluster. They were a hair's-breadth away from claiming a new dash under warranty when I told them that people on here are on their 4th or more dashes trying to resolve this problem. They re-read the installation instructions and saw what they did wrong and all is good now.

I hope this is the permanent fix at least for the intermittent buttons malfunction and good luck to others!

Does anyone know if there is a DIY mod for
This wiring harness?
I just had my panigale at the dealer for the heatshield AND
The right turn signal problem. First thing they told me:
"Never heard of it". Nevertheless, they ordered a new left switch assembly
For me and installed it, even though I told them that this probably won't fix
The problem.
Picked up the panigale yesterday and, of course, still have the issue with the
Turn signal. Bugs the hell outta me (cause its freakin dangerous when you can't use they right turn signal).
I want to get this fixed as fast as possible..so, any chance that there is a mod when you don't have the wiring harness to fix this problem?

just call a good dealer, like proitalia, and order the part $7. Part number is listed in the tsb document.

The tsb document shows step by step how to do it. Takes 15 minutes to do it yourself and is dead simple.

And then find yourself a better dealer.
