Getting ready to install a tuneboy map on my 1199 and wondering if I should remove my termi slip on up map? Will it make a difference one way or another? If not should I just remove the up map and sell it here on the forums?

I am actually looking for the same answer, I think it may be the safer to just throw it back on the stick, keep it safe or sell it.

My bike doesn't have the used up map stick so I'm looking for one at the moment.

Hi all, an old thread but relavant to my issue. The upmap was not removed before Tuneboy was installed on my bike and now I’m unable to remove the upmap. I put the upmap key in the bike and it just tells me the map is already loaded, doesn’t let me remove the map. Even after throwing the standard tune back on through Tuneboy.

This has proven to be a big issue because I can’t load a Tuneboy tune without the bike acting up under throttle. Has anyone had this issue and resolved it? Hoping to be able to remove the upmap tune! Or maybe there’s another option for erasing the tunes all together?

I don’t care if I get the upmap back, I just want to be able to load the correct tune through Tuneboy without the upmap causing a fueling issues

Upmap should have zero influence on the Tuneboy tunes/trims. Mine was left on and now I consider it gone, but I don't need it either. Unless you were looking to sell the exhaust with the upmap there's no reason to take it off.

When you say that the bike is acting up under throttle, what are you specifically seeing?

Has the bike been dyno tuned or at you using a supplied map?

I have played with the throttle tables for the 1199 and 1199R which make the bike more user friendly on the throttle without any impact on the power/torque, just wrist input.
