Can someone chime in that's done the auto tune on the tuneboy? I read the thread with creator giving a brief explanation and how to, however, that thread soon seemed to become hijacked by people bitching about customer service. I'd like to use this feature for my 1299s but do not entirely trust myself with the small amount of knowledge I have.

thanks in advance.

Do you have the tuneboy already? I just ordered mine and am hoping it comes with a comprehensive instruction manual explaining all of this..?

Instruction manual is included (you have to download it). I don't recall seeing much on the autotune, however. Overall the tuneboy is pretty easy to use if you read the directions.

Please excuse my ignorance but.... the kit for the 1199 (if you require Cruise and Tune options) is around $599 AUD and I assume you also need the "key" as well which is a further $399 Ozzie dollars. If you want clutchless downshifts (a la 1299) you then need the strain gauge QS which is $499 AUD making the price $1500 AUD total. Is this correct in so far as the necessity to buy the "key", as this is cited as an "accessory" on the website and is therefore not included with the starter 'Cruise and Tune' kit?

I assumed the "key" was to allow you to unlock the software in the 'cruise and tune' kit to install the tune and trim files onto the bike and is therefore a must have or dis I mis-interpret this?

Ah OK thanks. SO $1000 AUD is what I am looking at. There is a UK distributor here, so I will contact him for more info. I'm confident of installing it myself. One other thing. With version 6, you only need the wideband O2 sensors if you want to autotune the bike using the iphone or a laptop to refine the supplied maps and make a custom map for your bike. Correct? Does anyone else know if V6 contains a map for the full Akra system? I currently have a map for the bike made by MotoRapido but it could still do with refining especially at low RPM and TB seems an easier way of sorting this out plus with the added 1299 QS function of clutchless downshifts and the cruise control option as well, I'm very tempted. Lastly I'm quite fond of EBC on the Panigale. Does Tuneboy affect this in any way other than on QS downshifting?

Tb will wipe whatever motorapido did for you.

It does not change ebc

OK. So all I need to figure out is how to save the current map before I install TB. Thanks for your help.

Not possible ...

Technically possible but it wont happen

LMAO, your question still was not answered. I'd like to hear the answer also, i'm running tune boy as well and don't trust myself. Getting to the end of the season though so i might wing it.

Do you have the wide band O2s installed or not? TB Auto-tune in my experience works ok for lower throttle positions on the street but for mid to high rpm it is easier to use a dyno with the auto tune. I have tried both methods first with the narrow bands that was probably described in the other thread you read, then I installed two wide bands. What questions do you have? It is pretty strait forward. I would not use the Autotune feature riding on the street/Track. I would simply data log the AF with TB and apply the correction manually after the data logging ride. Don't worry TB calculates the correction needed based on the data. All you do manually is tell the software what range you would like to correct and hit go

so im trying to get the autotune feature, and im looking to buy the tuneboy kits. there are couple of additional stuffs on their website which im not sure if it is needed. Anyone help? I hav a 1299S btw.

Go Woolich racing. Same as TB but you get your emails answered.

I don't think they have
cruise control
Launch control
autoblip downshifter
2 additional throttle maps
the ability to change your qs kill time
Etc..

I'm very very very happy with tuneboy

I'm not a Woolrich fanboy by any means but yes, it has all of that and then some.

Curious why it's not advertised [emoji57]

Exactly. I see nothing about auto blip, cruise or multiple maps.

@tadashi have you been able to find a tuner in LA or OC? I definitely want someone to make a couple maps for my 899 on the dyno.

I haven't figured out the Autotune thing yet. Plus I heard it doesn't do much for anything over 5k
