Tuneboy Log file

Hi,
I was curious if anyone had created a Tuneboy log file and then proceeded to manually adjust the AF TP tables themselves.

There is a lot of threads on various other forums where Wayne has a procedure for using the OEM lambda sensors upto 40% throttle.

If you have done any tuning yourself I was hoping you could assist me with a bit of direction.

1. Does the Tune and CC package disable the oxygen sensors?
2. When you start a log, do you have to stop it?
3. I haven't seen any of the AF TP squares turn green/red or blue. Not sure why!

I have a .... load more questions and was hoping to bounce them of someone. I would ask Wayne but I reckon I have burn't that bridge.

Would greatly appreciate if anyone out there could assist as I would really like to see if I can smooth out the lower throttle regions of the bike (1199).

Supposably the throttle spacers fix the lower throttle regions

Throttle spacers just remove any free play.
Having said that, I've had mine for 3-4 years and love them.
I'm more interested in try to smooth out the 0-80 km range of the bike.

1. Does the Tune and CC package disable the oxygen sensors? Yes. But during "autotune" mode TB reactivates the 02 sensors unless you select the external wide band setup. If you have QS and/or TB nudge buttons you have to disconnect these and re-connect the 02 sensors or if wont work.
You are mean to tune the lower RPM (under 5k /20% throttle) using the OEM narrow band sensors for best low response.
I had average results doing autotune on the road. I ended up being able to use a dyno to do the "full auto autotune" Result were better but It still would require find tuning with a tuner. there just isnt any TB tuners where I live.

Wouldn’t a Rapidbike module work with a Tuneboy tune to auto adapt the low end?

If you have both RB and TB install then RB would be the primary unit dictating the final outcome.

Cheers mate I really appreciate the feedback.

There is a tuner just outside of Adelaide who has specified 2 days to FULLY tune the bike, balance the units & provide myself with a final map. He is a fan of the TB software but like all tuners has has his own way of doing thing. He said he doesn't use the autotune but prefers to go no more than 20% increments front, then rear and then compare the two to ensure one unit isn't carrying the other.

He has quote $1000. I baulked at the initial price but after meeting him and going through what he requires (overall about 18 hours on the dyno), he also swaps out the rear to a harder compound as opposed to the SP I currently run.

This will be a bike that is fully tuned from idle - 12000 rpm and idle to 100% throttle once and for all. I'll post up the results in May when he's available.
