Looking for a cruise control solution. Have any of you had experience with either the tuneboy (electric cruise) or the throttlemeister (mechanical cruise) and which would you recommend?

I have Tuneboy, these are the pros/cons IMHO.

Pros

No hardware to spoil the look of the bike.
Easy to use.
Right starter button to set and left up and down function buttons to +1/-1 kph or mph.
Disengage when you touch brake (or clutch apparently)

Cons

Have to activate it before you set off, or have to stop to activate it.
The starter button isn't an easy reach with your throttle hand.
I have found that sometimes I cant't set it after I have been riding for a while, have to stop for a few minutes. (Clearly a bug that I believe they are looking at).

So other than that bug its a great system but not really the best reason to get Tuneboy.

Just put the large size on my Pani so will let you know. Quality looks better than stock bar ends. I went with the standard aluminum look to be similar to stock

I have Throttlemeisters on mine. I have never liked them, and have put the old fashioned throttle locks on my other bikes (such as the "Vista Cruise"). But that just didn't seem like a very elegant solution for the Ducati so I went with the Throttlemeister.

It is a bit of a pain to use, but it does the job. I rode my normal Sunday morning ride this morning - 140 miles total with a fair amount of straight, flat two lane back roads. I probably used the Throttlemeister seven or eight times today I would guess. It works, but a true cruise control sure would be nice. I have cruise control on my BMW (and on two previous bikes). Once you've had it you will wonder how you lived without it.
