Ducati newbie question. I want to rotate my brake lever in particular down slightly and obviously the mc is located via pin to the bar. Can you undo the nut holding the bar to the clamp to rotate the position or does this have positive location as well? Do I just remove the pin between the mc and the bar?

you cannot just loosen the clamp on the bar, it is also PINNED! such a ...... design. Yes as B mentioned, just pull the pin out with plyers and make the adjustments you need. I rotated both sideds downward quite a bit, and had to then bend the reservoir bracket so it wont impact the fairings when full turned at the stops.

Cheers guys. Pretty crazy considering the type of bike. I'll attack that pin in the bar.
