Undertail finishing piece from SL race kit

I couldn't find any info on this so hopefully this will help someone.
This is the finishing piece for the under tail that comes with the SL race kit. It covers up the hole for those of us that removed the hideous rear fairing.
Ordered everything from Ducati Omaha (GREAT service by the way).

Here are the part numbers:
96900812A LOWER SUPPORT REAR FAIRING ($16.99)
87210161A PLUG RH ($1.99)

This should hold me over until the CF one piece undertail comes in!

That little oval piece in the middle is a rubber plug.

There's a place in eBay selling them now, but they won't be shipping till late September/early October.

Cleans it up.....interesting though that it uses a plastic plug. Is this so that wires can be run just in case?

scre holes at bottom

Hi

I've go the same unit, just for interest sake...do you know what the 4 screw holes at the bottom are used for? I used some allen caps that I made shorter to fill.

The four screw holes are where you bolt it on in place of the stock bracket. Same holes.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

It has 4 holes at the top and screws in place from the top through the inside of the tail piece.

But, it also has 4 holes at the bottom... What are those for?
