I'm wondering if I'm not the only one who seems to always end up using dabs of cyanoacrylate adhesive (krazy glue) on Ducatis. Here's a list of things that have gotten "kragled" so far:

- that damned washer that always falls out when you remove the upper fairing screw that you access from the wheelwell.
- all the rubber pads under the seat and tail cover, because they keep shifting position.
- the wellnuts onto my windscreen
- the rubber pads that the upper fairing notches into (there's two per side)
- the rubber pads under the mirrors that have little corners that are supposed to fold around and stay locked into place

Common sense? or sacrilege??

[sarcasm]OMG NO... You thought of a way to make life easier for yourself when working on your own bike. That is not allowed here sir.[/sarcasm]

Unlike Stw, I applaud your thinking and creativity. Simple .... shouldn't be so hard and finding a way to make it simple again is just what you should be doing.

Each to their own..as a Technician (in another field) I cannot bring my self to use such methods...

Let me leave this open for some other Military minded member to fill in.

What 3 things are absolutely "INVALUABLE" to the Grunt in the field?

1)

2)

3)

I will fill them in within 24 hrs if not done already.

I did this too. ;)

there's no limit to the use of kragle on a Ducati! I just found another use :)

you know when you take fairing screws off, and those thin plastic washers kinda go everywhere...or stay stuck on the fairing? I've glued them to the screws - takes just a dab.

especially those slightly larger M5 screws with the shoulder and the thin washer that never stays in place when you're screwing it in - glued in place!

just be sure the crazy glue is COMPLETELY dry before reinstalling.

I've also done a couple speed nuts (those clips that screws screw into) that move around too much. Don't use too much, and it can always be undone - crazy glue bonds don't take shock well - i.e. a hammer and a flathead screwdriver will undo it with a single tap.
