up map question

Other than the check engine light for the exhaust valve is there any issues that might come up if you don't use the ducati up-map?

I was planning on installing an air filter and slip on and having the bike tuned with either a PCV or the bazzaz.

i want the whole thing to basically clean up the bikes power curve and drivability. if it makes more power, it's just a bonus.

will the PCV or bazzaz take care of the exhaust valve error or will i need to get an emulator?

Why wouldn't you do the up map and tune from there???

I came across guys just selling just the termis on ebay/craigslist and they didnt have the upmap

Was also curious if the other exhaust on the market (comp werks, austin racing) would give me any issues

The upmap alone makes an absoulte world of difference I rode my bike with the stock pipes on the Termi slipon map, I have to say i could not tell the difference between the stock and Termi system with the same map loaded, i have not had a chance to ride it since fitting the stock pipes and the stock map...but from memory it was not good on that setting...I.E std exhaust and mapping...

just another note, with the Termi slipon kit and upmap the bike is completly different, at Mosport....(local track)... down the back stright the bike was lifting the front in fourth just on the gas!!! my bike has 5K on it now and gets better and better with more KM's Initially I was dsisapointed with it but time and KM's has really woken it up!!! STD gearing and STD filter..
