Hey guys, looking for clarification preferably with a picture. My bikes now 6months old. Got the termi slip on's done at delivery. I'm now looking into getting the manifold for the full system... Problem I have is my dealer never gave me any thumb drives for the standard cans or the slip on's? Does anyone have a pic or know what the dealer should have given me?

Any help would be appreciated ? Spoke to dealer today and he said he d have his tech's have a look for it. My dealer also suggested that same up map for termi slip and full system??? I smell BS???

The thumb drives are essentially useless once applied. They can't be used to apply again and you can't give it to anybody else. It's a one time application into your bike.

Thumbdrives come with the system.
One comes with the mufflers. (performance ?)
Another one comes with the manifold. (Evolution ?)
Running full system, the manifold one is the one you need.

Thanks guys.... WA that's what I'm looking for, I definitely never got that. I ll be on the dealers case first up Monday morning...

what does your dash say when you power it on ? Dealers don't usually give it to you after applying the map. I didn't get mine.

I think it says Racing..

Then it was applied and you got it. They probably have those (essentially useless) pieces of plastic in a drawer somewhere or threw them away. Dealers usually don't hand them to customers when they apply the map.

Do you still have the box with the stock mufflers in? Mine was hiding in the box.

You have to keep track of it. If you need to get a new map loaded, they have to put your stock mapping back on and load the new map. The termi map then gets loaded back up and piggy backs on the new mapping.

I learned this the hard way...rode 60 miles to get my map updated and when I get to the dealership they couldn't get it to connect. They finally found a way to get it to talk and got a message saying my map was current. Since I've had my bike since May he knew that wasn't right. Service manager emailed Ducati and that was the info he relayed to me, bring the old map with you.

My dealer said each time the USB is plugged in the maps swap, so first time the new map goes onto the bike and original back to the USB and reverse next time. True?

If it said Racing Evo then that would have been for the full system. I think its actually in the manual.

I recall early 1199 forum days we went thru this. If I recall the upmap is a oneshot job.

So looks like you have it Iceman.

BTW I put up a post in the Australia section for any Sydney riders interested in meeting up on Sunday up Putty rd.

The up-map sends a command to the dash and you get the option to "Up-Map".
Once you do this the CAN dongle sets it's state so it can only be used to revert to standard mapping.
If you want to sell the pipes you insert the CAN dongle again and "Down-Map" then the dongle can be used on another bike to switch to the "Up-Map".

The only thing written to the ECU is a 1,2 or 3 to tell the ECU which set of tables to use in the ECU.
Some tables are unique between the STD, Slip-On and Full system maps, others are shared by both Termi maps and have a different set for the standard mapping (Throttle position tables for example).
The dealer does not have to find your "Up-Map" stick, you can use any used slip-on stick to return your bike back to the standard mapping.
Once you return the bike to standard you use the full system "Up-Map" stick to change to the full system mapping.
After this you can sell the slip-on stick to someone else.

Don't let Frazers tell you otherwise.
