V2 Front Sprocket

Hi All. My V2 is awesome but where I live the roads are bumpy and potholed with corners that are quite tight so I find myself riding for some distance until I reach a main road in first gear. Having done some research on this I think dropping 1 tooth on my front sprocket (15 down to 14) will make my life a little easier - I know how to access and remove the sprocket, my question is can it be done without breaking/splitting the chain? Thanks in advance for any advice.

No need to break the chain. Just turn the eccentric to add as much slack as possible, change the sprocket, and adjust the chain.

In case any one is interested - having gone down 1 tooth on my 2022 V2 the bike electronics did not like it. I did my research before changing the sprocket and was fingers crossed that it would be okay but as I said the bike doesn't like it. There will be people on here who have had a good experience with this mod but not me so instead I am going to go +2 on the rear.
