V2 Tail Light Has No Connect / Disconnect???

Unless I'm absolutely trippin', it seems the tail light on my V2 does not disconnect? For sure, some other things had wiring clip connectors, which I was able to disconnect (I'd assume the rear brake?), but the tail light is just wired right in to the wiring harness, with no place to disconnect. I looked it up, and I hadn't seen this anywhere else.

Could this be?

Did you buy the bike used? Mine disconnected, yours looks pretty hacked up...

Yes. Salvage bike. Ugh, that was the answer I was hoping wouldn't be. I thought the harness looked kind of weird in a few spots. But everything seems to work. So, what, I just cut it off?

Take the aftermarket tape off and inspect. Given the other problems you’re having, you need to take all the fairings off and inspect everything closely.

I've only had one other problem. But yes, it's being totally torn down. It's in the build thread.

This is defiantly not the OEM style fabric tape used on the wire harness. If you see it elsewhere...red flag.

Yeah, someone spliced in that tail section. No bueno. The good news is that this will be a race bike, and besides that line, it all looks good so far. I'll just solder / crimp these wires in to the tail light block off plug kit.
