So, I've decided to finally get rid of the 1199 and get a new V4 instead. Is a 520 conversion kit for the 1199 compatible with the V4 ? I have a brand new set sitting at home and wanted to check the compatibility with the V4 before offloading the parts I don't need.

SuperSprox Front Sprocket 14T
SuperSprox Stealth Rear sprocket 42T
D.I.D 520 ERV3 120 links
Ducabike Sprocket Cover
Titanium Rear Axle Nut

I believe front sprocket has different spline but that won’t matter cuz you won’t want it

Cover has same spline but different offset

Thats crazy LOL. When I did my 520 conversion on my 1299 I went the CNC racing sprocket holder, 42T rear sprocket, 15T front sprocket. Guys told me forget using the wheelie launch control because the front would come up. I love pick up speed but that 42T rear sprocket was crazy. So a week or 2 later I went down to a 41T in the rear. You went to 42T in the rear and 14T in the front. Going down 1 took up front is like going up 2 to 3 teeth in the back. @DucatiKev that sort of means if he stayed with a 15T up front his rear would actually be something like a 45T or 46T rear sprocket. This dude has balls of steel lol.

Melvinakshay I believe what you have will fit your V4. I ordered @Roc a set of Lightech R series rear sets for his V4 and ordered him a 520 conversion with AEM hub flange. The CNC Racing sprocket size was 520/43 instead of the stock 41T in the rear and the front tooth sprocket I ordered him had 15T instead of the stock 16T. I just looked up the part numbers for the CNC Racing sprocket for a 1199 through the V4 in his set up. The same part number is CN555B. And the sprocket holder he ordered from me is the same one used from the 1199 to the V4. So the Supersprox rear set up will fit. I also just checked the Supersprox 14T front sprocket you have. It seems that the front sprocket you have will fit a 899/959/1199/1299/V2 and V4. The part number is CST-5054-14-2. But contact Supersprox or where ever you bought it and ask if that part # fits the V4 just to be sure. That being said your rear set up will fit the V4. If your 14T front doesnt fit you can always get another one. But the front ones are inexpensive. Your 14T front and 42T rear that you want to use on the V4 would be the same as getting something like a 46-48T rear sprocket on the V4. The chain will fit. The rear axle nuts will fit. I just checked the CNC Racing part #'s for the 1199 and V4 and they are the same. I just dont know about the ducabike sprocket cover.

Hope that helped

@cycler lightweight 525 upgrade is next. Already have 3,600 miles on the bike, give me a couple thousand more miles to destroy this set.

idk what the move is as far as teeth bc I like the 200+mph top speed with these so they’re prolly not changing
Maybe once they’re done fabricating the turbo kit, I’ll be stretching it and going the other way with the gearing to hit higher and higher top speeds.
Exciting

to me the whole point of the jewelry sprockets, nuts and chain is bc it looks good. That is all.

ive Been putting it up on the Pitbul stand and when I rushed to leave I forgot to put the other TRex magnetic Axle slider in the hole where the Pitbull stand pin goes and totally lost the other side of the TRex. Hopefully they’ll send me a dozen rears so I don’t have to bug them for a while

Thank you !! That helps plan things for the upgrade. I wish the exhaust was compatible too :(

I've emailed Supersprox. Hopefully they are the same. Hmm you're making me reconsider the 14T front lol [emoji38] The front sprocket is cheap so might just get the 15 instead and play it safe.

@DucatiKev your bike already comes with the 525 set up. If you want to go lighter then go with the 520 set up. I went with a 520 set up on all my bikes. But Im not chasing any championships. So if I had to do it over again I would stick with the 525 set up but keep the way I went up 2 teeth on my sprockets on all my bikes. The reason Im saying this is because you have to replace the 520 set up quicker due to faster wear on the parts. Another point is that a 520 chain chain, although strong is not really rated for my 1299 or your V4. Yes Motogp , WSBK, British SBK, AMA racing and other guys who race in some pro circuits or even amateur circuits have 520 sets up for weight loss. But they are sponsored and are constantly changing them. Youre saving maybe 3lbs doing a 520 set up and thats me being generous. You want to save weight? Get more carbon fiber. You know the discount I get on Ilmberger. If you want more weight savings get the wheels I priced out for you.

When youre ready to change out your rear sprocket set up. I say go either with the CNC racing sprocket and sprocket holder with other components and a AEM DSEI hub flange. Or the AEM rear sprocket with AEM sprocket holder and the other components and AEM DSEI hub flange. I like those two brands. Oh and PS...I cant say the brand name helmet. You know which one. All I can say is for the month of Feb guess what is better?????

I don’t know where he heard all that but spot on brother. Way to school em

^^^^^^ all great info^^^^^^

Far as sprocket holders go a lot of guys like KMS:

What are you basing that statement on?

“Not really rated for”?
What are you talking about? My 520 has more tensile strength than that junk 525

Amateurs they are sponsored and are constantly changing them.
Where did you hear that? So not true...

Really? Have you weighed them all? Do you know what the difference between a 520 and a 525 chain is? Or which chain from which manufacture does what?

Oh really? Why do you like them? Cuz you are a distributor for them? The Cnc racing sprocket kits are inferior. They suggest you run stock cush drives and that you “do not worry about them wobbling around” lol. Do some research maybe?

I’m sure you do. Was hard to tell in your last classified ad tho

If you want more weight savings get the wheels I priced out for you.
Cool. Maybe you will start supporting the site instead of having it support you?

And maybe you will stop posting bogus data too : )

My numbers were close:

Was surprised the 520 weighed more:
