Factory fitted heated grips from other motorcycle manufacturers are discreet and efficient. I leave my home to enjoy quieter roads at 6am, when it is often cold, even in summer here in the UK. Ducati should really be offering this product. Until then, Oxford have a decent set of heated grips, not as discreet as I'd like, but a good product nonetheless.
