I'm not buying any more first year production bikes from ANY manufacturer. Be patient and let the bugs get worked out. Hard to do with all the hype, but beats getting 10 recall notices.

I dont buy any first year production of anything for that reason alone..
But on the plus side theres a reason why the come with warranties, otherwise no one would want to buy them.

I'm familiar with many things (ok so I'm just a dumb pilot) but I hold a BSc in electrical engineering, so it gives me a basic understanding of stuff
If a seal is/ was made to leak then the system would cater for fluid replacement at certain intervals......now boys have any of you done a coolant check top up on a Panigale?..
It's fukin unfriendly and I doubt it was designed to be checked on a regular basis.

So I'm fukin unhappy about my 1299 leaking I doubt I will invest almost R7000.00 on theV4 now reading about the leak.

That was going to be my next question.. About a check up for a top up and how hard is it...

The coolant expansion tank/s I think there is 2 anyway there is one on the Rt front fairing up the top of the guard buried so you need a 3" mechanic to get up there to check it and to top it up well half the Rt side fairings gotta come off.
And I thought the Repsol CBR1000RR I have expansion tanks in a rotten spot but the V4 quafes that easily....Ducati could have done a better job on this thing.

Aside from adjusting the drive chain practically all the servicing I can do on my 848 you have to get done in the shop with this V4 platform.
I love the bike but give Ducati 2/10 for a user friendly bike for working on yourself.

All you guys are forgetting one very key point to this whole mess (for the record my 959 weeped a tiny bit)... it's ITALIAN made!!! For Foks Sake they only know how to make things look pretty and can't build for serviceability. Take San Lorenzo for example (in Viareggio) - in 2007 they couldn't even get their new build to draft properly, I recall it being almost 2 feet off!! And it's all glued together!!! Completely different than a Lurssen or A&R, doesn't even compare.
