I am also using a 15 tooth front with oem rear. The lower gearing makes leaving stop lights much easier.

As you can see below, going -1 front sprocket results in a 6.25% ratio reduction. Adding a +1 to the rear in combination with the -1 front is an 8.48% ratio reduction. +1 to the rear is a very minimal ratio reduction of 2.38%

My impression is the plus 1 rear is more about keeping the wheel base as close to stock as possible.

I added 2 to the rear on mine since the track I go to has a short straight. Puts a bit more pep in its step.

Just ordered a -1 front myself. I don’t think I’ve had a oem bike that didn’t have the gearing way too tall.

I have the -1 front +1 rear 520 conversion and she rips for sure. Sometimes too good lol. But make sure you recalibrate the electronics for that combo. Mine wasn’t shifting with the auto blipped very well but after I did that it was perfect.
