V4SL - stock exhaust weight

I understand they had to put a homologated can on there for street legality in European countries, but damn they coulda came up with something lighter for the SL.

Just in case you aren't aware, the bike comes with the race exhaust system in a box....keeping the stock exhaust with catalytic converters would be "toasty" to say the least

What is your purpose with this bike? Art for the showroom, track weapon or “daily” street bike?

like all others before it....to ride it...mostly sundays....always backroads.....some main roads by necessity

That exhaust is $5K on Ducati's site lol. Are the header pipes Ti as well?

....they appear to be, and feel light enough to be..the actual connection to the head may not be...i couldn't say 100%

no...despite the target weight being near the 1299SL...i'm guessing its slightly heavier just from a side stand perspective...possibly/most likely, the weight is higher up than i'm used to

They did...the SL can is 4 pounds lighter than standard V4 parts, not to mentioned the ti headers vs stainless. I'll have a video on that soon...

Nice bike!

Can you take a photo of the Gear Position Sensor? It is located real close to the front sprocket. Interested in seeing if it looks the same as non SL V4s.

Thanks!

The Akrapovic full system for all V4’s is full Titanium.
There are some interesting inspection intervals on the V4SL; chain guide pad on the swing arm for example. 600 hour visual inspection. You would hate for your chain to eat through that carbon fiber swingarm...
