I thought the mirror stories were overhyped but yesterday I managed to break both of them at once- dont ask! But in involved a 1 mph event. Anyway I epoxied them back together but couldnt help noticing that the plastic is very poor quality for the application. It should be a high % glass reinforced abs or nylon but they appear to be made from recycled bath toys. They may be designed that way so that in the event of a crash you dont break the fairing stays. Epoxy works really well so if you do break one, find the bits and glue it back together or if you can work with composites mould your own missing parts. I ordered the motoscience ones but if I had time I would probably make some carbon shells. Seriously given the quality of the OEM mirrors, how poorly they work and how easily they break, I would try the cheapest knock offs from China as they cant be worse than what you already have.
