Just thought I would share, last week I came across an ebay seller that had the Ducati Performanc Akrapovic Slip-ons part#96480771A for $3499 OBO... so me being the pirate shot them an offer of $2500 and they accepted

I totally thought it was going to be a scam. I contacted the seller and they responded that they had 3 more that they just needed "GONE" ok, whatever so I waited for UPS ground to take there sweet time and it arrived today, NIB unopened. Thought I would wait to share so I didn't look like an ..... if it turned out to be a scam, they said they have 3 more of them. The $500 difference between the DP Akra's and the termi's was well worth it in my opinion, now I'm not saying you will get it for $2500 I'm saying I did, shoot them your offer and see... for the record I am in no way connected to or know for sure who the seller is but I have my suspicions and they seem legit, the box did come directly from a Dealer.

eBay Listing

Hope this helps someone out

That's a great price. Especially for the DP set. If only the cdn wasn't taking the old arsehammer in the rear right now.

Usually eBay and PayPal have you covered in case of a scam... Im glad it worked out for you

I just purchased one (from the same ebay seller) for the same price $2,500, no shipping no taxes.

I assume I have to visit the ducati dealer to install the upmap. Does anyone know what they normally change for this service?

Just do it yourself . Plug it in and follow the prompts on your dash . Very simple to do .

Have you done this yourself with the 1299? Note the DDS text on the box. Doesn't this indicate you need the DDS system to install the upmap? Does the key simply plug into the bikes diagnostic port?

Can't see it being any different than on the 1199. Just plug the stick into the ... end and unload :D ahhhh I mean upload...

So what's in the black box that you have in your pic?...

That is the upmap, inside it has the plug in for the bike, it goes into the bike, bike hooks to dds, dds unlocks and loads map to ecu, unplug upmap. I maintain the DDS system at my local dealer so was present through the process. They changed how it is done.

That is wack. I buy a product, install it myself and I'm forced to take it to the dealer to unlock a map because Ducati feels they don't make enough money as is so let's force more n more customers to visit the dealership so we can have arsehammer give them a nice warm welcome and ANALyze their issue.

100%. Fackin highway robbery.

My dealer is awesome! They never charged me to load the map after i put the exhaust on. Did it twice..once on my 899 and the other on my 675R .
