Going to setup a set of rims for those days when the track is damp to light rain, have used Dunlops full rain tire before in damp conditions and it was basically toasted in one session, so a little hesitant in shelling out the bucks for a racing rain tire that may be too sensitive for what I am looking for.

Used some Dunlop Q3/4 with Cali SBK and liked how they performed in mixed conditions, are the Rosso III/IV similar to that family of tires or still more dry focused?

Ive read the IV's are vastly better in the wet than the corsa IIs...
Ive used the IIs at cota during the wet, it was a .... show, and i couldnt trust the lean, it wanted to slide all day...
the IIIs is a sport touring tire, i'd stay away.

my 2c...

I think 3 SETS OF WHEELS, WET / INER / DRY

It's tricky because I think it's either wet or dry.the wets work so good on wet track esp NYST - but I have not run them on big bike yet. If it's drying and inter time - makes less sense to change for me. Cause it will be dry soon

Almost have enough rims to do that : )

Thinking mainly about PittRace....twice I've cancelled due to the weather. Ran it once in mixed conditions with Cali SBK, fun when not doing it on your bike! Resilient street tires may work better for my needs.

The rosso 4 corsas are total .... in the wet on the street. I would imagine it depends on the track grip, how much standing water there is and how hot you can get them, if its a good surface they might be ok

I bring an R6 to the track with me and ride that on rains and/or treaded tires while riding the V4 on slicks in nice weather.

The Rosso III/IV are more street focused than the Dunlop Q3/Q4/etc and "should" be better in mixed conditions.

This is my week right now. Here's what I see:
Last two days at the track it's 3 seasons all day. Sun rain sun misting sun clouds.
The Polish guys have snow spikes, rain tires, intermediates, they're like, "What? it's our normal."

Everyone with Rosso VI are having a good time in all conditions.
