I rode about 130 miles today with a combo of back roads and highways. Had to stop at Home Depot to get a 11 mm wrench and tubing to bleed the clutch a bit. Had lots of fun, a good pace but not really knew dragging pace. I got a bit tired due to the heat at the end so I could do 150 at most. So what’s your typical ride length?

Usually one tank of gas.
I have to get of the bike 2 or 3 times during a ride to strech up and walk a little. I am getting old i gues.

Same here. I usually stop two or three times. Gas for the bike and water for me.

I'm curious how many miles I can put on mine in a day. On the R1 the wife and I can go 400+ miles a day but with the Pani wanting to roast my ... after about an hour, I'm thinking I should be good for around 300 on the 1299S.

I did another 140 today and I’m worn out. At 57 in two days I did about 300 on highway and backroads, and that’s about my limit.

I’ve had my cars over there on Rt 33, ripping it up from the Va border to Elkins. Then I do Rt 2 to Rt 4 to Charleston too. On the bike I’d be worn out from DC traffic to get over there on a bike, but I’ll do it someday.

I’ve ridden 33 but it’s been about 10 years. Now I mainly ride RT 50 up to MT Storm, then down 42 to Petersburg, then down 220 to Seneca Rocks. Also ride RT 9 up to Berkeley Springs.

I’d say 1.25 of a tank. Probably 150 miles.

It’s amazing how often you have to bleed the clutch. I have a wrench and rag in my rear compartment.

Yes. I keep a wrench and rag, and small section of tubing. It’s just part of the Italian bike experience. Least the rear brake works. On my Aprilia they never worked.

My rear brake is useless

Replacing the clutch slave cylinder is the cure

Yeah when u renew fluid u gotta take the rear caliper off and flip it upside down form how it’s mounted otherwise air seems to get in which means no rear brakes. Just let the pros renew ur fluid and you’ll be set. Both my V4 and 1299 have good rear braking capability
