What 45t sprocket?

The simple work around is to not drop a tooth on the front sprocket and to add 2 more teeth to the rear.
 
Just do it! Zero issues and perfect street gearing! (also perfect for my local track) Mine is a 2024 V2 Bayliss.... (same gearing as standard version from factory). I went to a 45T as this ratio is within the accepted Ducati range for trouble free QS operation and less of a change than dropping a tooth on the front. I brought a new chain as the standard chain length length is too short to accept +2 on the rear. Sure you can just but some master links and and inner but I prefer the 1 link join over the multiple link join. A note on this..... you must lengthen the chain....... 45th sprocket on a standard chain will happily grind a hole in your swing arm so be warned and do so by the two options above.
I brought mine from CFMOTO without any issues. I received the sprocket in about 4 days Italy to Western Australia. I cannot get parts that quickly (free freight) from Eastern Australian suppliers!!!!) outstanding service and unmatched delivery speed. Look em up on the internet.
How did it go?
Pulled Standard off, put 45 on ensuring eccentric chain adjuster was reset to allow for adjustment, MADE SURE sprocket was not contacting swing arm after fine tuning chain tension before tightening rear axle up. (saw a guy pumping 240nm into an axle nut on YT with the sprocket clearly touching the swing arm lol. hilarious).
Kicked the old V2 in the guts and rode away to do a speed/gearing calibration via the dash option already noting that QS already felt fine. Did the calibration and Boom!.... absolute crispy trouble free QS operation and the absolute pain in the bum tall gearing frustration has melted away.
Highly reccomend + 2... just do it.
 
Just in case anybody is interested - I have a 2022 V2 and I put on a 14t front sprocket (-1) and the gearing was definitely improved. However, I was aware before I did it that the newer bike electronics don't like the smaller sprocket.

I did the tire calibration successfully but it took no more than 5 miles for the dash to start showing errors. Namely the N would start flashing and the gear indicator showed -- rather than a gear.

I put the standard 15t front sprocket back on and bike electronics returned to normal.

So, I went for a 45t (+2) rear sprocket which I have to say proved very difficult to find, as all the suppliers really only want to sell you a standard 43t.

Whilst looking I found that Ducati have an OEM sprocket kit for the V2 Streetfighter - 67621411A which I am reliably informed comes with a 520 chain and 15t front and 45t rear steel sprockets.

But when I compared the price with a Carrier and Ring sprocket set up it makes sense to go aftermarket.

In the end I went for a DID ZVMX 520 108 link (+2) chain which is an upgrade over the original and weighs less.

I kept the standard OEM front sprocket and purchased a JT Aluminium Carrier (JTA770B) and a Renthal Hard Anodised 45t ring sprocket. The JT carrier is very well made and represents much better value for money than the Renthal (D183) carrier and the Renthal sprocket fits both perfectly.

The reduction in weight of the aftermarket sprocket and carrier over the OEM steel sprocket is quick significant and more importantly there were no issues with sprocket misalignment/offset between front and rear.

Hello! I completely agree with what you said, I had the same issues. In the end, I decided to keep it OEM, but I’m not ruling out switching to 45 to see how it performs. However, when I went with the 14… I loved it!
 
What's the work around for the computer not liking the gearing changes? Is gearing changes something the can do when, or with tuning?

I have my bike electronically tuned by a WSBK engineer, and he told me that this can be adjusted through the electronics, but by default, it causes a lot of issues due to an adjustment in the TC. Ducati isn’t the only one with this problem; there are Kawasakis and Hondas (Sport Bikes) that face the same issue.
