Advice on what to get next? I'm looking for comfort upgrades this bike will hardly ever see track time. Is there anything you've put on your bike that now that you have it, you wouldn't want to go without it?

(1299 base model)

Already on my bike:
1. NRG tail kit
2. NRG mirror block off's w/ signals
3. NRG under tail turn signals
4. TechSpec tank grip kit
5. Carbon sub-frame covers

Planned future upgrades: Not in any specific order.
1. Carbon rear engine covers (for heat reasons)
2. Comfort seat
3. Rad guard
4. LED head lights

1st thing you should do is set the suspension up for you.

Now of your list, comfort seat and radiator guards first.

Then do other ergo/comfort mods, ie rear sets, grips, levers, or even clip ons. Imho, these should be before asthetics.

Next do your other mods. The engine covers wont do much for heat, get some good heat shielding, ie DEI Heat Screen(aluminized mylar radiant matting) for the seat. Does wonders. And stick on heat shielding if you dont want to use that for the engine covers as it is much more difficult in small pieces.

I think I replied to you on Facebook :D. (tb, windscreen, race seat, rearsets)

Why specifically the rad guards guys? are these (1299) particularly prone to rad issues from stones etc.? never really had these issues on my old bikes.

Picking my 1299 S up Saturday so keen to know if worth getting rad guards.

Cheers

There's no urgency on radiator guards. It's the same as any other sportbike. Get it if you wanna be extra careful but i wouldn't consider it a must have upgrade. I've never had it on any bike I've owned except for my Dragster, which is my most recent bike. I don't have it on my 1199 and don't plan on getting it either. To say that it's the number 1 or the smartest must have mod is laughable.

Here are my must add upgrades.

1. Comfort Seat - unless you have a hard ..., make this your first. If you don't make this your first mod then later on you do, you will remember this post. The stock seat is brutal.

2. Carbon sub-frame covers - the sub-frame gets hot and you need to grip the subframe with your legs.

3. NRG tail kit - this just makes the bike look good.

After that it's up to you, what ever floats your boat.

Replacement radiators from ducati are ........ expensive then also hassle of being stranded on the side of the road.

Potential cooked motor

Radiator guards are cheap insurance

Mine didn’t come with any after 6k kms several of the fins are bent and it’s pretty bad at the bottom.

Must have- comfort seat. I just installed one. Night/day difference. Something so simple made riding long trip much better.
That and tuning to get rid of lean spots.

my first upgrade was to this seat
