I love ProGrip 717's, been using them for 10 years on every bike I've owned. Many MotoGP racers use the same grips. They're cheap and they'll last a whole race season, or many years on the street. If you can't find them at your local shop, we have them here:

Quite agree the 717's are the best, but maybe I ride too much or punch it into turns quickly as I get through more than one set per year per bike! Mine wear out on the inside where I push the bike, but they are so soft they feel great with thin gloves. Worth buying two sets a year....
Do they slip over the stock grips or replace the stock grips and throttle linkage or whatever it's called?
I recall stumbling across foam grips that slip over the stock grips but cannot seem to find them again. Anyone recall such a product?
