"I'm gonna find me a coupla HARD, pipe hittin' nikkas ta go ta work on the Homes, here, wid a pair a pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talking ta you Frosty Boy? I ain't finished wid you by a damned sight. I'ma get medieval on yaw ass!!!" :D

As to the original question posed in this thread.....

Cull the goofy passenger strap, as there will never be a passenger on my scoot. Add one wallet (less check card, which is in the breast pocket of my leathers to ease the all to common fuel stops), a cell phone, a small Ziploc baggie with a house key, a spare pair of ear plugs (in case I lose one somewhere), a few business cards, a small bottle of ibuprofen, and registration papers, and you're ready to go! I generally stuff a cap into the breast of my leathers, too. It's often sweaty when it goes on....but so is everything else on me after a day of riding, so who'll notice?!?

I have augmented the OE tool kit with a couple of allen wrenches, but if I get a flat I'm making a phone call. Period. I don't trust plugs in motorcycle tires, so screw it. I'd rather wait than wad. I did well to avoid crashing when the damned thing went flat the first time! ;)

I am on the other side of the fence - rabid tire plug fan. I plug anything I can get my hands on (that's what she said). I put a couple thousand miles on a plugged tire on my bike a couple years ago and just plugged a tire on my wife's car last weekend. I almost enjoy plugging tires! :)

I too have put thousands of miles on a plugged rear tire before and wont hesitate to plug a tire to make it home.

I don't think i'd ride on a plugged front tire for extended period of time though...in the back of my mind I just don't think it's as safe as a plugged rear and so I wouldn't be able to ride freely :).

Guys keep in mind, yes use common sense when plugging tires and how long you can safely ride on them. Location location location (location of the puncture that is)...I guess nothing is common sense anymore lol.

That's nothin', Cloners getting some Black Knights (I think) to help him beat you up.

It's an adulteration of a Marcellus Wallace quote from Pulp Fiction, Trauma. You gotta get some education in "the classics". ;)
