The motorcycle you ride... just like anything else, it's another form of expression and you chose it - so what does your choice of motorcycle say about you?

I think you're right; the type of motorcycle you ride does say something about you.

But it doesn't always say what you think it says - nor what you want it to say.

Each person interprets what the bike implies about others differently. right or wrong.

Harley guys all think their bikes say something - I think they say something else.

I can tell you this; I don't give a FF what other people think my bikes say about me, the people who get it - get it, and the people who don't, don't matter.

I think it tells about what riding style you prefer....riding on a rolling couch showing off your bare noggin or trying to find out how fast you can navigate the twisties safely. A number of guys would want to find out how far they can take their machine on the race track competing against themselves or the rest of the field....all is good!!!!

Regardless of others think about what it says about me, for me it's my bike, my talent and ability and how best I can integrate them.

The bike you ´ve chosen to ride, is a representation of who you are, how you wanna live the life, how you wanna spent your time off..........The brand you choose, the model, the color, the accesories, the apparel, everything talks for you !!!
FORZA DUCATI

I personaly like all bikes, anything with two wheels. They all are fun and each have their own style of riding. I think as people we let the bike dictate our personality. I have owned cruisers as well as sport bikes and prefer sport bikes. They are the best for my therapy, flickable and nimble! thats riding. If i did want to ride a cow, well I would probably buy a Harley or something like that. It's just not for me. Everyone has their tastes and preferences and thats good. Hate to see if we all had the same tastes in things! I do know that Ducati followers and owners like us on this forum are the same. We like and ride the BEST bike ever made! Good on us!!!!! Who cares about the rest!!!!!

From where i am,motorcycle, has initially been a affordable personal transport compared to cars.As time progress, the pursue to ride something special to spice-up every ride grows. That special feeling from riding the L-twin attracted me to Ducati, especially when you throttle hard and close the flap, subsequently engine brake proceed, the tone or frequency emitted from the exhaust and the pulsating effect of the twin piston, just simply resonate within you.i still miss my 916.

Besides engine, the other parts of a ducati bike has several iteration of innovations even coming from the 1199 has always been intriguing...I'm curious with engineering innovations which i see ducati has been stretching its effort on.

i hope in near future, Ducati will do a production build of the Ducati 916 (with modern and more reliable electrics)as a classic return.what better way to commemorate Claudio Castiglioni who have contributed to the birth of the 916.With each unit having Massimo Tamburini's signature on the fuel tank....that will be keeper.

Great idea to bump up this thread. Exactly a year since the last post.Owning and Riding a Ducati for me implies a trait in my personality.I obsess easily, tend to buy the best and show it off! now it's anything Ducati, clothing, coffee mugs, key chains etc. My last obsession was Corvettes followed by Yamaha and now Ducati. When I ride, most people I ride past know nothing about Ducati and its great heritage nor do they care but I still feel proud and special.Practically speaking, I own an Italian restaurant and hope to tie in my Ducati somehow to it.
