Owning a Panigale is like dating a super model, you know she will cost you a lot of money in maintenance :)

Riding her is like going out on a date and she only wants to be seen in beautiful places.

Idling at traffic lights is like the most boring ... to her...

She only wants to wear the most expensive mods like a $5000 exhaust system.

To her you're just another SUGAR DADDY.

Honestly, owning a 1299s give me a sense of personal satisfaction. When I first got into riding I dreamed of the day I could afford a Ducati. I haven't rode and probably will not ride my bike much but it looks beautiful displayed in my garage. Regardless of my situation, I get a feeling of joy every time I go into my garage.

I got 5 months left before i could ride again legally - hope you're not in a worser shape than me i dont really know your situation at all !!!

On the other hand, I have almost 20,000 miles on my 1299S and the only issue I have had in all that time of commuting and track days, is the rear header breaking three times.. Now Ducati has a newly designed part, it seems solid.

Other than that, my 1299 has been even more reliable than my BMW S1000RR that I put over 56,000 miles on.

Has the newly designed part got a different number & what changes have they made from the original?

According to my mechanic at the dealership, it DOES have a different part number. I took off my Termi front exit slip-ons, because Ducati NA refused the warranty after the 2nd broken header, blaming it on the Termis. I was there when he re-installed the new part and he said it did indeed have a changed part number.

Cheers.

I know alot of men who are divorced from their first wife, then they go get a newer asian version....

Japanese --> Ducati ----> back to Japanese ----> BMW GT1600---> death
