Hello all,

I just bought a 2021 Panigale v2 and upon removal of the lower left fairing, I realized there is a connector that is not connected? Does anyone know what this is for and if it needs to be connected?

Thanks

DDA hook up, or the Exhaust server motor....

do you have the S version?

hummm. i'm sorry partner that was my best shot..i'm on a 1299 so the connections are a little different here and there...good luck

I just got the same bike and the dealer told me its for you to plug the bike into a battery tender if you plan to not ride it for a while. After a closer look I am now unsure, it is shaped differently to mine.

Not a battery tender.

On a V4, that looks like what leads to the kickstand sensor.

What does the wiring run to?

It should be easy to tell if it is indeed the kickstand sensor connector. If it is disconnected, the bike will not shut off when put in gear with the kickstand down.

So, I think it might be kickstand..When the bike is on and in gear it doesn't go off and the kickstand light on the dashboard is always off. I am confused because I thought the connector connected to the kickstand is a male and should connect to a female? This looks like a male.

I am going to have to take off the fairing this week again and see if I can trace back where it runs to. I know the kickstand at the moment is rigged and shows it's always retracted and the rear brake doesn't come on when rear brake is applied.

That is some great info! I am 99% sure it's the kickstand now. I just have to figure out where the wire needs to connect. I searched for another disconnected connector in that area and couldnt find one. I will have to check again this week. Thank you again.

Just wanted to update everyone, it turns out it was the kickstand connector and the female connector that it is supposed to be connected to had a bypass plug which i did not notice. i removed the bypass plug and plugged in the connectors.
