If wheelieman's insurance adjuster spots this video on youtube it could affect his benefit claim and future coverage. (It would in Canada.)
Might turn into a very expensive lesson, especially once you factor in the other bike he took out plus the personal injury claim of the other rider (If he were to make one).

The 5-0 has just as many mouth-breathers, especially NC highway patrol. They're every bit as dangerous as the squids.
I'll never understand the appeal of riding in large groups, seems like this sort of thing tends to be the result. As for the OP not stopping, he probably did the guy that crashed a favor. Any bets on how fast the cops would have taken that video footage?

Yeah but the government has deemed them worthy of keeping us 'safe'...they are just qualified squids, but legally they can get away with it. Terrorizing the streets like the idiots in this video are just asking for it, then they're all surprised when the cops treat them like dirt bags.

I agree, my comment on the cops wasn't meant to make light of the dislike for stupid riders. Good rule of thumb: if you wouldn't trust them with any other potentially dangerous object in your presence (chainsaw, firearm, etc) don't ride with them!

I just got back from a Class at Laguna Seca. Reg says that when you put gas in your motorcycle its like handling a loaded gun and should be handled with the same respect and care. If we all thought this way it may save us all a world of hurt.

What we should all be thankful for is that these squids don't see any point in wasting a Ducati on their "craft", so they are almost always on Japanese bikes. When I was getting down to decision time to buy my Panigale I looked up insurance prices on the following bikes...

Kawasaki ZX10r
Honda CBR1000r
The Ducati and BMW were significantly cheaper than the Kawasaki and Honda. We have the squids to thank for that.
