Hey guys just checking in. I had an 1199s before and doing wheelies would starve the front cylinder and eventually warp the head. Does the same issue occure with the V4?

If so, there are going to be a ton of these bikes with warped heads

First ive heard/read about it.

Pretty sure bikes with modern fuel injection do not suffer fuel starvation doing wheelies. Long ago carb bikes could have issues if you went too high and the floats and their levels got messed up. But most of you in here have probably never tuned a carb bike or ridden one, and got to get that analog feel of flatsides opening up.

I really thought he was talking about oil starved. Do you think a twin could carry the front wheel on one cylinder?

BTW, I’m old enough to remember carbs. And I still have a dwell meter and timing light. I took auto mechanics in high school 50 years ago.

Yeah I'm taking about oil starvation. I went through 2 engines doing wheelies on the 1199.

Hmmmm, were you doing these "engine killing" wheelies in some sort of stunt riding competition?

Doctor told me to start reducing my carbs is that what you mean? :)

Is this serious? I had an 1199 and power wheelies were just normal, never an issue...

But the new V4 is just so easy to power wheelie on, I love it.
