I wonder what the quality of this kit would be like and how closely it would match the OEM red?

The paint quality would surely be better then the standard ducati paint! Hell...I can get better quality out of a spray can...I plan on replacing my plastics once a year to keep the bike looking super fresh! I have that many little scratches and stones chips on the bike already and instead of sending myself mad keeping it scratch free I find it a much easier option to just replace the plastics...I'm just trying to decide which route to take with a supplier?

Paint quality isn't an issue as i will be redoing it in a different colour. But like you i am just worry about the Fit and if everything would line up. I guess someone will have to bite the bullet and be a test pig lol!

You're more then welcome to be the test pig hehe. The plastics in the white and red in that second link look really good. I'm in Brisbane, although I will be frequenting Sydney weekly with my new job so I might have to swing by their workshop in Parramatta and have a look at the quality myself. Where are you located in Aus mate?

Look closely again, that picture most assuredly was taken from a Ducati press event, making their quality even more suspect.

I'm all for a cheap, quality alternative, so good luck and let us know how it goes.

On a second glance you're correct! It's a Ducati press event!! I'm not so worried about a cheap alternative... I'm just after a better quality alternative to OEM. I will have a look at these in person next time I'm down that way and see how good they are.

over at ducati.ms there have been several discussions about these knock off fairings, the consensus was, they're not too bad. some have tabs breaking off, but that can happen with the OEM's as well.

give it a shot and report here ;)

Cheap junk on ebay.

I have personal experience with both of the following:
Sebimoto Motorcycle Fairings | Fairing for Racing Motorbikes
Sharkskinz

Sebimoto is good if you're looking for quality CF race fairings (used them on my TZ250).
Used Sharkskinz as replacement plastic for street/race bikes when I wanted an alternate paint scheme or needed to replace plastic due to a mishap. Come primed and ready to paint.
I've always had good success with finding local bodywork painters. You can get it exactly the way you want.

i am over in perth. My mate just told me that ozzy fairing place will try and price match, so i might shoot them an email and see what they say.

Now to find a tank, i think that is going to be the hardest part
