Which Setting do you daily drive with? (Wet/Sport/Race)

I took delivery of the bike in Wet mode expecting a lot more than what the bike gave me, switched it to Sport after 30 miles to continue breaking in the motor.. and I still have a disappointed feeling where as the 'soft' power delivery just makes the bike feel too refined and 'soft' (no pun intended) for me. I'm going to play around with the 'Race' mode today and hope it gives me the extra feeling I'm looking for in the throttle.

So my question for everyone else is, do you have problems daily driving it in race mode, do you find sport more enticing for specific reasons? Obviously assuming ideal weather conditions. Does anyone find Sport/Race too much and prefers to daily drive it in 'Wet' mode?

I'd love to hear everyone's opinions on how they Abuse, I mean use this bike.

I use race hi195
I am not sure if my other setting are too conservative because the front end does not come up. Not sure if wheelies are controlled or not by TC etc.

Race / 195hi all the time......not sure about others but it is scary to nail the throttle in the first three gears...wheels come up, traction control kicks in and it explodes down the road...there is a fueling trade off but worth it. Oh, and there is no wheelie control on the 1199.

Race/195hi all the time as well. Love the bike!!

Suggest you try 195 hi in sport mode first, then you will be able to gauge throttle response without changing the other settings.

there are defaults in race / 195hi that give you the minimum amount of electronic oversight....then you can customize from there. So unless you customized it there should be minimal intrusion. But if you cannot get the wheel to come up then something is not right. Mine will lift the wheel through 3rd gear just stomping on it and I am not a wheelie guy. And I have had the wheel get light at WOT in 4th passing a car.

Race
195hi
DTC off (most days)
DQS on
EBC 1

It'll lift the wheel in the first three gears. :D

All the time...
Race/ 195Hi
DTC 3
DQS on
EBC 1
I've had these settings from the moment i left the dealer last Saturday. Picking it up today from having the 621 mile service.

I did customize it, for some margin of added safety (have to check the exact numbers) Perhaps I just have not spanked the throttle as hard as I should. Trying to play nice. ;)

I think I'm babying it too. The front end is harder to get up than my CBR10000RR was or my RC8R. It's planted very well, usually bikes like this get all squirrelly when you hammer the throttle. I need to find a good spot and practice, I'm not a huge fan of clutching it up. The pogo method doesn't work very well on this bike either, (better on inlines with less engine brake).

Switch it up all the time, except for Wet- no reason for it at all unless it truly gets called a "wet race" LOL

I have wet mode with 195 lo, soft suspension etc settings I use for suburbia getting to the mountains. By the way in wet mode it is virtually impossible for it to power wheelie with DTC around 6. I also use this when the rad is real bumpy, we have some bad ones out in the bush.
On Ok back mountain roads I use a sport setting with 195hi and suspension for my weight but set slightly soft.
On nice smooth fast roads I use race with firm suspension settings and the default traction and Ebc etc. This is simply awesome, especially the dash.
Of course track is race.
I continually scroll through these and change depending on the road and what I am up to. Took a while to get all my settings I like but know I feel I have 4 bikes in one.
Oh, if I get stuck in a wet downpour I simply go bak to the default wet settings.
I did come off a BMW S1000 so I tried to emulate those modes as I always switched on the run, but now I have the suspension that changes all on the go,unbelievable on a sport bike
Brilliant, for a sport bike really. Although my mates on the 1098R 's are sick of me telling how great it is so I just keep it all to myself.

Sport 195 hi, DQS off...when I get in the open Race 195 hi, DQS on. ABS 2, EBC 1, DTC 5 on both.

sport 195 hi
plenty fast enough for the street
going to try race 195 hi when i go for a long ride

I switch it up depending on where I drive:
mostly on streets, I use sport mode
with passenger, I use the wet mode per gf preference
freeways, race mode with dtc 5

I mix it up a little but use the default sport mode mostly. Plenty of power after 8k in sport for me. I want to go through and customize the modes and get more familiar with all the settings.
