Why is it that users here create non-1199 related threads in the 1199 bike specific forum?

Seriously, is it that difficult to recognize the fact that there are other forums that probably more closely match the topic itself? Is there some fear that no one will read/respond to the thread unless it's "at the top?"

Examples: Ducati Panigale 1199 threads belong in the "Ducati 1199" forum. Ride related threads go in the "Ride Reports" forum. Racing threads (MotoGP, WSBK, track days) belong in the "Racing" forum, and so on.

What is it with this place?

this happens in most forums, but here it's most noticeable due to no mods being around to move mislocated threads. Just one of the many problems here at present.

I think its because only 1 or 2 of the sections really make sense.

it may in fact, Chris, but the percentage of misplaced threads here to begin with is laughable.

an example: "let's see.....i've got a question to ask about riding gear, mesh or leather....i remember seeing a Gear forum on the main Forum page but i guess i'll start the a new thread in the 1199 Panigale forum as that's where most of the constituents hang out, regardless if the question has been asked elsewhere."

people know....at least i think they do.

We/I bitched about this months ago. Have since given up.

i guess the three moderators that were supposed to be placed within 72hrs of Duc's last missive didn't materialize.

Oh ...., I was wondering when people were going to figure out that I was a mod :D .

Personally I have the 1199 portion of the thread saved in my bookmarks on all of my devices...so I have to take extra steps to see anything NOT in that section. Maybe that's part of the problem for others too?

I think the one that annoys me the most is when people misplace the How tos or guides. This bike is just over a year old and we are constantly answering the same questions about how to remove/install/modify topics.
