You need to have your y-pipe modified
What kind of Y pipe would he need to buy in order for it to fit his bike? Or rather what kind of Y pipe would he need to buy in order for you or someone else to modify it so that it works on his bike. Just so I understand. He bought 2015 Akra Panigale R cans and wants to install them on a base 1299. Am I correct?nope, that one belongs ot a gentleman in FL.
i don't have a y-pipe here to mod for ya, but if you find one on ebay or on here, have it shipped to me.

Im wondering if the termignoni y pipe would fit. When i had my termignoni relevance slipon exhaust, it came with a y pipe. But if im not mistaken my buddy and i never used it. And just bolted the slips ons to the stock y pipe. I could be wrong and we did use the termi y pipe. But whe when i sold the termis 3 months ago to a guy with an 1199 i sold him a 1199 termi y pipe at almost dealer cost so he could mount them. And the y pipe on my bike was the same color as the oem stock exhaust. While the termi y pipe was titanium and silver. But somehow i convinced him to sell the termi relevance and buy the new Vandemon Down Under belly exhaust from me at a good price and it was shipped directly to him from australia. He was the 1st person in the US to buy and install the Vandemon Down Under belly exhaust. He wound up selling the termis to a dude in Canada two weeks later. That being said if my stock y pipe fit the termis. Do you think the termi y pipe would fit his bike if he found a used one online or bought a new one if its less expensive than a akra y pipeyes - need the stock 959/1299 y-pipe either off your own bike or purchased. this will fit the stock 2015 and up 1199R titanium akrapovic cans that look similar to the stock cans, difference being the titanium material and the carbon covers.
I like your answer. Quick and to the point. Reminds me of my old football coach that I had from the age of 9 through college. If you asked him something with a long winded question he would never reply and give an explanation. It would always be "No" . And if he thought the question was stupid he would either throw the football at your face mask or the back of your helmet if you turned around. And then say ok there genius take a lap LOLOL
