I read that a v2 swingarm should bolt right up to an 1199. I just wanted to see if anyone has done this and what they did. I need to replace my swingarm. The ones on Evil Bay for an 1199 look a little beat up and have an outrageous price. Compared to a few I seen for v2 swingarms which looked to be in better condition, and a bit fair on price. Any info or feedback I can get would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Yes, It's a direct bolt-on. I had the v2 swingarm fitted onto my 1199. You'll need to swap over the 1199 spindle onto the v2 swingarm.

The v2 swingarm will be a better purchase if you need to replace the swingarm. It's newer and should be in a better condition than the 1199/1299 swingarm. The v2 swingarm is also just a revised version of the 1299 swingarm. It has bigger rear hub locking bolts, and also better clearance for the chains to move around on the swingarm.

That looks really good. Did you do it yourself?

No. I brought it to my mechanic to get it done for me with a few other parts installed the same time. The swingarm swap was a big job as you'll need to take off a lots of parts to do it.

That would probably be the best move for me as well. Thanks for getting back to me on this. The swingarm looks great!
