Well cause I found that I'd be working I, with trepidation, dropped my bike off at the "Ducati" shop to have them put my 520 kit that I purchased from ducati Omaha,( nice plug).
I came to find that my chain was tighter than a tightly strung guitar. The wheel was almost all the way forward and the teeth of the sprocket was nearly rubbing the swing arm. What the idiots must have done is just pushed the wheel all the way forward and then cut the pre-cut chain not realizing that point. Either way it was a hack job at best. I have ordered another chain from the states which will take a week to get here. I will hopefully have the time off work to do this one myself.
Now my Rexxer woes.......
Well when I first used the rexxer module as I said it uploaded a map automatically. I then tried to put back my evo map after trying to clear the fault code. Turns out that the map didn't work right....I think, but am not sure, that the rexxer map loaded over the original map and so by trying to go back has ...... it all up. How do I know this...yesterday I had a former ducati experience coach with me and when I started my bike up he came over blipped the throttle slightly, held it at 2500 rpm for about 3 sec and then shut it down. Said don't ride it till you get it on the diagnostic tool, cause it's misfiring. I think from the up map debacle.
I am going back to the "ducati" shop here now to use their tool and send the data to Ducati in Italy to analyze it and let me know what needs to be done.
Short of taking off my ECU and sending it to the U.S. for help I'm SOOL! It's tough not having a good dealer and not living in the first world where help is abundant.
Please feel free to post your thoughts and/or advice. Just needed to vent.
Cheers
