Has anyone with a 2014 1199R been able to use auto tune from Woolich????

Does not look like they offer it for my bike

Did Base S and SL all come with Bosch ecu?

Maybe take some time to go through the owners manual and parts cat for your bike and subsequent models of interest. If you did that you would know what ECUs, BBS, Fuel injection components etc were in the bikes which would have answered both your questions.

Seems like somewhat of an obvious preemptive strategy however since you didn’t see the value in a strategy like that or didn’t have the time to do that (which is a stretch considering you are on this board all day, every day, in just about every post) yes, the Woolich platform will work on the 2014R and no, all models of that bike have Mits ECUs which of course you would have known by well, ....... looking it up.

As far a turning this board into a dumpster fire is concerned, it takes a few clowns to make a circus so you two may not be the ring leaders but you’re definitely in face paint and funny shoes.

Yeah thats for sure these clowns have definetely turned this board into a dumpster fire. Kevin cant even take the fairings off his bike so thats no help. Don14 I don't even think he has ridden one of these bikes or ever had one running so thats zero help to anyone trying to run Woolich. The reality is all the guys that used to be here including myself are out of here indefinetly!!!!

Lol. The owners manual. That’s funny

Ummmm it does not look like they offer for my bike. When you click on any of the models they DO offer it for a list of ecu p/n is displayed and my ecu is not in any of them

If you can't figure out the difference between the ECU's you will never be able to get the Woolich package working on the bike it will be a huge mess.

Mods where are you?????? We need the tools to bull doze this board and start over with a clean start.

I am out of here this place has gone bonkers!!!!

Everything is a huge mess to YOU

I would be able to figure it out IF they offered auto tune for my ecu which it looks like they DO NOT

Their customer service is amazing

I appreciate it about as much as your support. Thx

That statement is such a perfect demonstration of your ignorance Karl

The system doesn’t auto tune ..... You still gotta put it on a Dyno to get the part throttle a/f right at all the various rpm’s

At wot it does not auto tune .... either - but I would be able to look at the logs, see exactly how the ram air is effecting the mixture, and make those adjustments myself (no more dyno required)

You obviously have no idea how their v3 works

*Or what is required to tune a good ram air system

**Maybe stick with what you ARE good at?

Keep spending top dollar and posting pix...

Probably best to stick with drag bikes......

You do have me as I dont know .... about woolwich auto tune I assumed that was like say rapdibike auto tune. You do love counting my money tho dont you and trying to throw it in my face... built not bought am I right...?

Yes Owners manual Don. They are all available for viewing online so you can do side by side. You see in the back of the Owners manual there is a schematic for the bike. You can easily identify the fact that the bikes you questioned have Mitsubishi ECUs by just looking at the depiction on the schematic. Its almost childlike in its simplicity.

The MM, Siemens ecu depict much differently. As far as Woolich and your particular ECU part #, again understanding what that part number is referencing is the key here. All the Mits ECUs are physically interchangeable with regard to harnessing etc. The part number has to do with particular nuances of the package. From a Woolich perspective, your fine.

Again maybe a bit more research and a bit less chat board time. Just a suggestion. It would expand your knowledge database and spare this upstanding board from more of this nonsense. Do some ....... leg work man. I'm sure Karl and Mick are getting weary of holding your dick while you tinkle.

Karl the Rapid bike applies changes as you ride, albeit mostly to small throttle openings at low to mid rpm, areas I really could give 2 ..... about

You have to connect a pc to the bike to change anything with Woolich V3. The “auto tune” merely suggests those changes if you enter a target a/f. So it is auto tune in a sense as it will apply those changes if you tell it to

@vesparacer

I did the research. Sent them an email a month ago. They have neither confirmed or denied that they have a box that will work. I am not comfortable sending them $1040 for a box for a different model that’s why I started this thread. Your blabbering and saying oh it will work fine is not very convincing. Just because the plugs are physically the same on the ecu???Have you ever put a v3 on a 14R???

You didnt do the research and they respond to emails daily. You order, pay and they send the parts in 2-3 days. If you don't have a running bike the package wont do any good. Also FYI if you have a custom exhaust make sure you can weld the bungs in the correct location for the widebands.

I have yet to see a running bike so if that can't be achieved getting Woolich up n running on the bike will be impossible.

Naw I made the whole thing up

Sure they do...

This is my project not yers and there is no deadline. It’s not like there is a race this weekend and I am trying to win a championship or anything

Maybe I should install the sensors directly in the port where the air injection used to be? You know... for a more accurate reading ; )

They will be down the line further from the head than yers are as my primaries are longer

Yay! Guess who just responded? And this is their response:

Once you have a tuning kit in your possession you will be able to read out your ECU. At that point one of two things will happen:

1) The software will detect that a read out of the ECU exists in the software already and you're good to go

2) The software detects that exact image doesn't exist - but it will let you send the read to us through the software so we can add it for you, typically in a day or two.

I better get the bench cables too cuz like Mick said this thing will prolly never run. Every day I find something else the damn thing requires and I’m on a fixed income. Prolly die before I ever get to ride it or hear it. If it ever does run again tho at least I’ll know it will be as good as I could afford to make it : )
