I have had the Woolich Racing Autotune kit before I got my Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss. When I first went to just test it and flash the ECU after putting the Akrapovic slip on exhaust on and removing the exhaust servo, I also changed the fan to come on at 90 degrees. It worked then but never worked again. So Woolich wanted my ECU but I had the Ducati Akrapovic engine map "Racing" and thought this will do & said I will wait for your software to work.
2 years later - it works. So I want my V2 to go faster & have used Woolich on my 2015 Yamaha R1M I have had since new & also I had a 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R KRT Edition so I have experience using it.
I had wideband O2 adapters but when I pulled the bike apart they obviously don't fit! So I ordered the Akrapovic top exhaust section as it has the wideband O2 sensor bungs built in. While waiting for the exhaust I also removed the PAIR/AIS and installed block off plates. Then totally removed the charcoal filter and all of the hosing and blocked off the outlets at the intakes. I looked at the woolich power adapter and it was wrong!!! Older models had a bigger plug. They did tell me it was basically just power so I made a plug to fit the standard O2 sensor but for whatever reason once it was divided to go to 2 individual Zeitronix ZT-3's there was no power? After putting the entire bike back together that was a monumental swearing moment. Then when I asked Woolich they didn't believe me & asked if the bike had been modified. Eventually they said there is a new plug which is 2 x individual plugs from the standard O2 sensor to each ZT-3 box. I said is there any chance you can send me those first and I can send this wrong one back? No answer, twice. So I posted it back by express on Sunday. They didn't pick it up until Wednesday & then said since I had modified the plug to try and make it work, they would have to charge me for the new one, which I hope they meant to be new "ones" as in 2 plugs. Whatever, after waiting for almost 3 years for this to work it's annoying but I just want to get it going. They didn't charge postage!!! Would of been so much easier if they just posted them out 1st and I could of swapped them over in 1 go but whatever.
I went to flash the ECU with the EVAP removed so I wouldn't get a fault light. Everything looked good then it decided to lose contact and I had to recover the ECU. After asking 5 times what does it recover to? My old map or a generic V2 standard map it was a generic V2 standard map so that buggered up all of my flashing of the ECU previously to clear the removed parts error codes. I had to start it to finish the write ECU process. Anyway usually with Woolich you can delete codes. So I flashed it a second time with the "racing" map with everything removed, disabled. Everything is OK except the fuel gauge is flashing. I ordered an EVAP block off wiring plug which I am hoping will fix that. I was at Ducati last Saturday and they said they can only remove it if I put it back to stock? Sounded ridiculous to me. I asked Ducati for the "Racing Evo" map that comes with the full Akrapovic system but the mechanics said yes it has the startup screen but the map is a stock V2, so I didn't get that done. Still waiting to hear from Ducati on what happened there.
Bloody Cyclone coming now although I think it is going to be bugger all. If the post arrives today I might get my 2 x power cables!!! Then I can begin with Autotuning data. So far it's been interesting.....
