I have now used woolich software on two different bikes and their customer service response is unreal quick .

They seem to have 24/7 service due to having support in USA and UK .

Your ability to tune , tweak and the information resource is unreal and easy to learn .

If you are looking for a good tune for the 1299, they have a really good tune loaded which can be shared once you purchase woolich serial Key and hardware .

Mapshare is fantastic all woolich users can all share maps with each other which is instant.

They also have a autotune device which will do it all for you as well.

I’m not an expect and have no connection with Woolich only Sharing my positive experience with woolich.

Check it out yourself, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with they customer service and expertise.

Sweet! Are they using a handheld tuner that adjusts the bike and then disconnects
or is it a unit that stays installed with the bike?

Here is a link for Ducati’s , you plug your computer into your bike just like a dyno shop .

Everything a tuner would have to adjust so do we. I could share maps which isn’t allowed like Brentune, tuneboy and others.

You example I extracted my AKRA Upmap from my EUC and viewed it in the woolich software , it Barely had any adjustments. No trims , timing ,
Junk.

It’s a really nice tool however need to learn how to use it .

Very cool! Thanks for the link. I have Bren on my 1299 and it’s a huge improvement over both stock and UpMap. It’ll pull wheelies at 2k RPM now, it’s so smooth.
they sent a handheld unit to plug into my bike and extract data. Connect the handheld to a pc and send Bren the files. After a few hours they Email back custom files and you’re set.

I think the UpMap is a different story for the V4 models but for ours, a tune is necessary

When I take my bike to the dealer I always tell them it has been unlocked and they don’t plug it into their Ducati system. The instructions say to flash it back to stock before taking it to dealer. They also clearly warn that there is a flash counter built into the ECU that they can’t hack around yet.
there also is no cruise control like with TuneBoy or whatever the other one is. I do have early fan on which is awesome but it definitely runs cooler from the calibrated fueling.

Could u post a few screenshots? I’m very interested

I’d love to be able to get into the software and turn on my LED low beams while the high beams are on. From the factory US models shut off the low beam when high beam is switched on because its output exceeded DOT limits at the time. Euro models weren’t restricted by this.

I will probably get blasted for say this however I will , take your Bren tune and extract it form your ECU with the woolich software and look at it very closely, Trim . Fuel , You’ll be shocked to notice what you see vs what you paid for it.

I’m not 100% sure however with the woolich software you’ll have access to Every country stock maps . I am not sure if that will change headlight settings. I could load a European map and test it out. Loading a map only takes 10 mins ... super easy.

I am away on business this week when I get back I can upload some screen shots and share it.

I always strive for greatness, this is a big learning curve for me as this is my first Ducati.

I have not sent dyno data to Bren so it’s not a custom tune, just an off the shelf. I can take it to a dyno shop and send Bren the info. I’m not familiar with what’s involved in dyno tuning our bikes but with the off the shelf tune they sent me, it’s a much more stable and smooth running.

Ill send PM

Email woolich , they respond 24/7 . All the info is on their website and videos . If you don’t mind the research you will end up with a way better tune customer to your bike mapped in your conditions .

Not a map made in another city on a different bike , no bike is ever the same.

Those woolich guys are incredible.

Great info. Thanks for sharing! There’s nothing like a stoked customer who can speak to reliable quality service.

This was one of my biggest issues with Bren. It's a canned tune and they lock it so us, the end user can't view or edit maps. Why would they not want me to see the map? The few that were able to pull them have all said that the BT is basically on par with the Ducati up map. I've mentioned this before, but they cancelled my order when they found out myself and AF1 were doing a dyno shootout comparing different tuning platforms. Then there's the ridiculous up-charge for the Alientech Powergate handheld. Last I checked Bren was charging around $600-$700 for it. That's a $199 unit. Between all of that and the unsubstantiated power claims I found them to be pretty shady.

Making lots of $$ on ppl like me that don’t know any better

I can tell it runs much better down low than Akra UpMap with Bren installed. But if there’s room for improvement, it might be time to upgrade to Wool

Before I involve myself in bikes I was involved in drag car racing. I built a few cars , tuned a few cars back in my day. However not a pro.

Every time I chAnged my turbo or supercharger , changed a motor, injectors or MAF FLOW METER one rule we had never run a email tune on the track. Or kaboom !

In most cases we would only order an email tune to get the car running so we can get it on the Dyno .

Every car motor is different , With so many different variables example spark plug gap’s, injector flow , MAF calibration , atmosphere temperature , elevation are all key factors.

So what makes ordering a tune online for a bike any different?

Do online bike tunes make a difference on bikes yes , does the user notice any difference yes but is it a perfect tune for each specific bike? No . It’s a over priced safe tune loaded on your bike meaning you won’t blew up your motor . that’s simply bad business and would ruin a online tune company . So they sell safe tunes, pulled back timing , no fuel added which are all over priced for what you get.

If you want the best out of your bike then tuning your bike on the Dyno with a knowledgable tuner is how you’ll get the most out of your bike. Not a online tune made in Australia for example then loaded on a different bike way up in Canada. Make sense ?

Woolich Allows the ability to fully unlock your ECU and customize your map to your bike with your conditions.
However you will be required to do some reading and research , learn what you’re doing . All resources are all online you must invest your time to learn it’s not hard in fact super easy.

Nice looking bikes! I saw that D-air jacket on sale...almost had to get one just because the price was so good! Just remember, those jackets are for cruising, the Dainese rep told me that if you’re carving the canyon in those(meaning a lot of upper body movement) they have a high probability of deploying. The D-Air system is designed differently in the jackets than it is in the full suits.

Where is the best place to mount the the Woolich log box? I guess I'm just thinking about the install and the best place to mount it.
