Very cool. I had not seen this before: http://i1.wp.com/www.asphaltandrubb...7/Ducati-Panigale-R-WSBK-2015-Laguna-Seca.jpg
or perhaps the exhaust for one cylinder exits as per the traditional design and the exhaust for other cylinder exits out the rear to reduce the amount of bends. It's hard to see.Hmmm looks like the can outlets are recombined into the single exit pipe?

The welds on that swing arm gusset look a wee bit blobby, arm looks like a beefed up stocker. You can see a lot of dyno time went into that exhaust, wonder if that will make it onto the next generation of R's

Kewl. Saw that during the races and was curious about it as well. Whatever they're doing, they're finally on the right track with a convincing double at Laguna Seca, a power-intensive track.
Sadly, the 1199 will still go down as having the poorest race record of any modern ('88+) Ducati SBK. Perhaps due to politics (or lack of influence over those politics), I don't think they will ever be the dominant force they used to be.[/QUOTT Technology is getting better for all manufacturers thanks to innovating development from ducati and other successful teams as well as riders.
WorldSBK < 2015 WorldSBK In the Garage ? Ducati's new exhaust
Just noticed - the "periscope" does a loop before exiting. So that's TWO loops (rear header and final exit pipe) under the seat.
I think Ducati wins the Rube Goldberg award for all-time most complex exhaust. But it appears to have worked with Davies currently 2nd in the championship, so big thumbs up to whoever thought of the thing!
