After watching this final round, it's plain to see this series is in a heap of trouble, KRT with JR on board has stunk the show up so bad the race is a foregone conclusion. I don't know what the answer is, maybe a unified electronics package ala MGP, look long and hard at what BSB is doing, and follow their lead?
Hell the STK 1000 is head and shoulders better than WSBK, after all it's a show and it needs to be entertaining and exciting to generate fan interest and SPONSOR DOLLARS.

Very true centeroff but it appears that most of that is JR himself, Sykes nowhere near as good on the same machine. It would be interesting to see JR on a motogp machine against the best, he is a talent.

transferring BSB rules to SBK does not guarantee success, different tracks, conditions, less factory input at BSB more private teams, I think the Motogp success has cost SBK and it was the reverse a few years back, motogp is now for the masses where as SBK is more followed by guys with bikes.
Dont see a solution, punishing KRT with the better you do the more we kick you in the balls rules and the stupid grid formation in the second race is going to keep adding nails to the coffin, BSB needs to be studied for solutions but is not the solution

JR is that good. Someone should give him a shot in MotoGP

have to agree its painful to watch wsbk. i have the subscription i believe it just auto renewed dont know if i will continue it. its just terrible.

It used to be all Aprilia back in 2012. Then BMW joined the mix. Then KRT. Then Ducati joined the mix.

I believe that the current rules allow a more "stock" engine compared to pre-2014 rules. So if other manufacturers want to be challenging for wins, they should improve their engines based on the current rules. Looking at the concessions sheet, it's like if you excel in your engine development, you will eventually be indirectly penalized so your level of performance is comparable with the other engines, which indirectly you can say are sub-par.

But yes, the races these past two years are dominated by KRT and Ducati which makes them a tad boring, but I don't think it's either manufacturers fault that it is what it is.

JR is an amazing talent, he rides within himself, you can see he came from the roads. When Honda had him sub for Pedrosa he put in a solid ride on the Honda GP bike.
Reading the new rules package it looks terrible, seems like letting the other teams practice all they want, till they start winning would be a good start

^^

Agreed. The concessions that MotoGP gives the other teams to make them competitive makes more sense - more practices, less limits on engine and chassis development, etc until they become competitive.

Limiting the development of the Trail Blazers so the rest can play does not make sense.

WSBK is a bit like F1, and as someone commenting on F1 said, you put the fastest guys at the front and then wonder why there is no overtaking. Now I know that passing less experienced riders all over the place is probably not what the good guys like, but reverse grid makes interesting racing.

Even then, the reverse front three rows hasn't slowed Rea down much has it? I think Rea is the problem.

Cheers

As a car owner/crew chief/engine builder, I want to see my driver/son, check out on the field, and just have to deal with lappers, but as a race fan/spectator I want to see hammer and tong battles to the checkers. Inverted starts are great for the fans, and hell on the drivers and owners.
Kawasaki is in a league of their own partly because they can focus all their resources on WSBK, they .... canned their MGP program, aside from BMW and MV everyone else has irons in both fires.
