Hmmm indeed! I wonder why they have that big wrap on the side of the exhaust. You'd think it gets a bit warm by their leg or something....

That is a monster header pipe. I wonder if it has something to do with the air restriction to 50mm trying to get it to breath at the top end. Domencelli was interviewed last week about this, Ducati are lobbying to get the air restrictors removed as they are saying they are about 25hp down on the 4 's so should not be needed. Lets see what happens.
Domencelli said it is crazy that in Superstock they can run the larger intakes of the road bike but not in World Supers. He also said they did not really design the new engine to have 50mm restrictors and it is thus posing a bigger hassle than anticipated for the software techs.
