Long and thin vs short and fat... There's an analogy here somewhere. :mad: Seems like an engineering fu to me.
 
Sorry, not up to speed on all the dyno results. What exactly is going on here?
 
That is very interesting! Middle one is all show and no go left and right go hard but look not so pretty!!
 
i m not sure on the naming of things...

wsbk? that would be Alstare no?
or os that the PRO pipe manifold?
the middle one would be the EVO then
and right the stock one?

i can't follow as the stock one does not give more bhp then the evo.. imho..
the max power (188 - 193) is given by the EVO pipe with some proper mapping..

it's not very clear to me.. could you elaborate George ? tx !
 
George, if you are comparing the bend you should also compare the diameter:

I believe the first photo if referencing how the Pro manifold looks very similar to stock. At least thats what I gathered for anyone not following.

^^^^ This photo is very telling. It seems like the length would simply shift the HP and TQ peaks around, is that correct?
 
looking at the dyno from both it would.

i can't wait to get as it should alter the drivebility significantly... bye bye dip over 6K ..
 
looking at the dyno ; it should get rid of the dip and get more bhp way sooner and more linear... can't wait for it to arrive.. if you look at the dyno of my R, then the one on the graph as shown by DP is correct.. so if the Pro does what it says to do , then it should be quit an improvement.

Will the pro not fit the S model ?

kope - though if you look at the SSTK power graph - it gives up almost 15hp below 6K and gives it back above 7k .. . So, while the "hole" might be gone, you're giving up some lower rpm drivability.
 
I thought that you got the map not matter what model you had, if it's a race only pipe I'm sure they don't really care about how much power you lose below 6k since it will probably never spend that much time below that
