Brand new. $700 shipped

Machined 30mm impeller - ya can’t really slow down the pump like ya can on a car (smaller pulley) so the factory teams had these impellers machined to give the radiator time to do it’s job while their .... was screaming. Robs less HP from the crank as well

Metal Idler and pump gears - If you don’t know why they ain’t plastic search this forum : )

I have a set of water pump gear on order. But can cancel the order since I havent paid for them yet due to a little price discrepancy with the dealer discount but the VAT tax hasnt been removed. They are sold by Ducati Kamna. I know the difference between the plastic and metal gears. I read that this is a WSBK water pump. What are the benefits over the stock water pump ? Which company makes these gears and water pump? Ill send you a PM. Maybe we can discuss something that would interest you.

You know how your rear wheel speed varies at a given engine rpm depending on which gear you have selected? Well the water pump ain’t got no transmission. The faster you spin the motor, the faster the coolant passes thru yer radiator. So picture a bike that’s been warmed up (thermostat is open) and starts doing laps on a race track. Twin is not V4 has to be rung out like a 2 stroke to stay in power band, right? Well there is nothing in the cooling system to slow down the flow of the coolant so that the radiator has time to do its job at max rpm. The cool air passing thru radiator doesn’t go into the coolant, it works the other way around. Hot goes to cold. Always. And it takes time. By slowly down the flow, the coolant entering the engine has had more time in the radiator, and is much cooler than if it raced thru it. Make sense?

I wanna say they are made by Ducati Corse. Someone engraved some .... on em. I don’t read Italian : )

$700 shipped is not much more than buying the gears from Duc kamna and a stock pump from dealer btw. No one beating these things up on the track? No one having cooling issues while doing so? Hummm

The gears are only about $190usd. I believe a stock water pump probably does cost $500 or more from ducati but worth is another question. This is a mod ive been very interested in for my 1299 race bike, sometimes im running 115 degree C on track. But, imo $700 is a bit steep. The part is not common but currently there is another WSBK water pump on ebay from Ben in UK for $335usd in new condition. Although his ad only has the waterpump and larger steel gear and does not include the smaller gear.

Able to move on price a bit?

I believe the term used to describe how long the coolant is in the radiators is called "dwell time". This would be one of my first mods if i had this model engine. Good luck with the sale.

These don’t come around very often. Not brand new

Buy the gears for 190 then pay shipping and buy the used pump for 350 and save 100 bucks

Save a hundred bucks on used pump parts...

For a race bike...

700 to everyone else, 750 for you

Jk : )

All parts i am talking about and quoting prices for are new. Not sure about you but if i can save $100 with minimal effort I'd like to. And would have an extra water pump gear. But seems like your set on your price. Let me know if you change your mind. Glws

Oh for sure. Same

Pull the trigger man

If he still has it!

I am not gonna ride my junk on the track. Or shouldn’t anyways. Lost one of my eyeballs recently so I don’t really have any depth perception : )

Thank you. Yes. If the coolant leaving the radiator hasn’t ‘dwelled’ long enough it won’t be much cooler than the coolant entering the radiator. The system just keeps getting hotter n hotter til the motor cooks itself or spins a bearing. Which ever comes first

Really. Still alive and kickin tho so it’s all good

And I got a plastic replacement part up in LA at OcularPro. Some chick there hand painted it and it looks just like the other one! Had nothing for 3 or 4 months before that oh well

Damn, I’m sorry to hear. Sounds like you’re dealing with it though, so respect for your resilience and positivity.

If you don’t mind me asking - what happened?
