    Irwin nw 200 !!!!!!!!!!

Un believable win for Irwin on the Panigale R North West 200 Super Bike race. And he had to go around Seely for the W.

So did Ducati design this bike (1199/1299) to handle best with the 200 rear tire?

I'm just curious what the racers or track day guys have found here. Do you have a better foot print at full lean with the 200? Do you feel the 200 makes turn in more cumbersome? Is the 190 the preferred tire when using it for track?

Something to get excites about: Northwest 200

It's almost upon us. If you haven't heard of this race (and I hadn't a couple of years ago) its the most stupendous road racing TT style. The BBC streams it live, FREE! - - MOST - EXTREME - SPORT -

    39 days till Northwest 200

I only really discovered the road racing scene a few years ago and I watch excitedly from down under. I know there's a lot of excitement about the Isle of Man TT (deservedly) but until recently I had no idea about the Irish road racing scene. Two big events that lead up to the TT are the...

Oil top up after 200 miles

Picked up my 1199 ABS last week and covered 200 miles so far. Just looked at the oil level and looks to be on the bottom line. Anyone else have this? What oil do you top up with? Shell Advance 4T Ultra like it says in the manual or is is different oil when running in? Love this thing...

Front end feels light at 200+

So does anyone else have a view that the front end gets a bit light when accelerating over 220kph+? I'm not sure whether it's just acceleration lifting the wheel or aerodynamics? It feels like the latter to me, the front end definitely feels like the wheel is lighter and a little unstable. I've...

First Puncture after just 200 miles!

Has anyone had this happen to them with the soft compound Diablo Supercorsa SP V2? cannot believe this has happened after only 200 miles on the road! It was only a paper staple and could not have been in deeper than 3-5mm and really surprised it caused a puncture. To make matters worse, my...

200 Miles & Some Extras - Long Thread!

In a blistering 100 degree weather (which I will get to later) I took my Tri out for a long ride to visit a Ducati shop way out in Winchester, VA to have my rear linkage changed over to Progressive. If any of you know Donnie Unger, owner / former racer from CCS Mid Atlantic, you know what a...

Substituting a 190 for the 200 rear tire

Anybody done it? The 200 seems like overkill for the road, and a 190 would be lighter. I know it will fit; but will it affect the performance of the traction control.

    Day 1 = 200 miles

So just got back from a awesome 200 mile ride on my S/ABS. Couple of observations: GOOD: -Ergonomics. Very nice seating position for a super bike. I am 6'2" and fit in very nicely. My legs are a little cramped but I only noticed it after about 150 miles. The handlebars are super easy to...

    2012 NW 200 spoiler

Watched the super stock race online last night. Seeley on the tyco Suzuki was in a class of one BUT the only Panigale in the race was awesome finishing second. Beat a hoard of top spec fireblades , BMW s , zx10 s , gsxr s etc. fast in a straight line and awesome on the brakes. Btw - Jessop...

1199 S ABS - full Termi system: thoughts after 200 miles

A few random thoughts: 1) Mid-range torque is huge. I am very surprised after seeing several dyno charts indicating that it has less mid-range torque than the 1198. Perhaps the Termi system and remap changes things? 2) Exhaust sound is a deep, full, baritone note - loud and thundering. Beware...
