Hi all, I have a 1299 S and been told that changing the standard 39 teeth rear sprocket to a Pani R 41 teeth sprocket makes a big improvement to the usability and drive. Has anyone done this to their 1299 or have any comments? Cheers Stu

I went to a lightweight 41T kit with a quick change rear. Of course, it came with a longer DID 520 ZVMX chain. IIRC, its something like two links longer. Can I safely go back to a 39T sprocket without changing the length of the chain? Would anything really be effected chassis wise?

Got the 41T rear sprocket for a 2012 Base Panigale. Noticed my speed is higher on the dash then actual. Is this normal, should ECU automatically compensate for 41T sprocket change? Thanks

I was thinking of doing a sprocket change to move the power band down a bit. I did the 14 tooth front sprocket change and it really helped the bike for me. For the panigale what are the advantages/ disadvantages to doing a 14 tooth front sprocket vs. a 41 tooth rear sprocket? thanks!

Finished the install and just got back from a test ride. Very positive change, pulls from lower in the range. Can't wait to get it on the track. Took me about 2 hours start to finish, pretty simple installation.

Got to try a race start after fitting AFAM 41T rear sprocket. Had go pro mounted on triple so you get a good view of rpm. Makes the bike a lot easier to ride around a tight track. 1199 race start - YouTube
