1199s rear break linkage spring gone

Recently had CNC racing rearsets installed by my local shop after a small crash a few months ago. About 4 days ago I noticed the rear brake pedal is completely gone. I'm assuming not enough loctite was used during the install. I also notice the pedal bolt/spring combo that presses against the...

Put the rear break pedal further down

I would like to put the rear brake pedal further down. I have turned the adjustment screw respectively the bolt up to the stop, but it is still too far up for me. I am afraid that I must cut the bolt wich runs into the brake cylinder. Does anybody have a different idea? Greez Piri

    Brake system and ABS

During my last weekend's race I missed my brake point at the end of straight so had to go extra hard on the lever to wash as much speed as possible before I run out on the gravel. That being done, rear came up by like 1 meter in the air as described by marshals and what I felt. Now my question...

Warning: Aftermarket Gear Selector Shift Rods can break (TransLogic)

Some of you might have installed an alternative QS shifter. A good product for the Panigales with Blipper function is made by TransLogic UK. Please check EndoDoc's thread http://ducati1299.com/ducati-1299/26116-new-translogic-shifter-1299-finally-pics.html Unfortunately this shifter comes with...

    rear break bleed.

as many of you know to get the air out of your rear break when changing break fluid you need to take off the caliper and turn it right side up. (if you didnt know that you will thank me cause you will never get a strong rear break if you dont turn the caliper right side up) my question is...

What happens when you break an inside fairing clip...

What happens when one of those clips on the inside of the fairing break off. It's a little plastic clip that a screw went through to attach to the bike. It's one of the clips on the inside of the middle fairing. The big one. And the clip was on the inside of the fairing on the back side (Side...

DP Race Seat loose fabric or needs break in

I just picked up the Ducati Performance 1199 Race Seat for my 14' R. I noticed that around the Ducati Performance logo near the back of the seat it feels like there is an air gap between the logo and the padding below it. Basically I can press on the fabric and there is air gap under it. Does...

How much oil did you need to add during your Pani break in?

Just curious, because when I had my base 1199 it didn't seem to have burned much, but my R seemed to have burnt more and was low in the sight glass. What is the ideal level in the glass? Thanks

    Pani S rear brake issues.

Rear brake seized on me today. Bike felt heavy while I was riding. Got off to see the rear rotor was glowing red. Bike only has 1560 miles, wtf?! Any other people have had break problems?

Did I BREAK it when I BROKE it IN?

Did I break it when I broke it in?! Seems like the "heat? What heat?!" topic has morphed into the "LEAK? What LEAK?!" issue. Not jumping to any conclusions, but let's see if break in technique correlates to any of the 1199 issues. Simple "a" "b" or "c" answers. For example, a,a,b...

    Break In

I took my 1199 S in for its first service last week (it had like 630 miles on it at the time). I was concerned about the break in period for round two of the break in period. I met with the head tech at my dealership and was told that the bike is good to go and that there was really no good...

Rear break light switch after installing rearsets

I just installed a set of Lightech rearsets and do not plan on using the rear break light. I noticed the switch for the rear break light needs to be depressed. Anyone know of a easy way to do this? It seems simple enough if I could find a closed nut to cap it off, however, efforts so far have...

    Specific break in question?

Hey everyone new 1199s owner here and am a little confused on the break-in. Now i am going to (hopefully) stay true to the 6k rpm and under for the first 600 miles and 7k for the next 900 miles and so on but i was curious as to how you do so. I have about 60 miles on the bike so far which are...

    1199 break in

Just got my new 1199 and love it. Break-in according to the manual seems pretty severe. Keep under 6k rpm for first 600 miles and then under 7k rpm until 1550? With my 1098r the Ducati dealership told me it was a race bike and that there was no break-in period. Any advice out there? Do I...
