As I wrote in another post, we are experiencing som problems with the heat exchanger on our bike. We now found out that it needs to be replaced. I read on a couple of places that people are removing this completely when converting their bikes to racebikes, but never found any info on how...

This is driving us f*cking crazy... :mad: We've had oil leaking from the bike from numerous places from day one. Generator cover, valve cover gasket, and heat exchanger... Feels like we're putting out fires here all the time. Once one leak is fixed, another shows up... And what really annoys...

So today I received my 1199. Bike is basically new, from a mechanical, look and mileage POV, but, it has a mess in the heat exchanger. This is definitely not normal, is it? WTF is it?
