So on the 1199, this used to be one of those plastic reusable snap thingies. The 1299 parts fiche does not show what is actually used - a long M4 screw (2.5mm hex drive) with a large washer, a spacer, and a wellnut in the fairing. What a wonderful pain in the ass fastener! No idea why that...

What length fasteners will get the right tension for the ABS plastic? It looks like it'll be 12 or 14mm.
